ecoPayz, founded back in 2000 as EcoCard, is one of the longest established e-wallets in the world which provides end-to-end, account and card-based payment solutions for businesses and individuals worldwide.
Where can you use ecoPayz
ecoPayz took some time in taking off. Though the platform was launched in the year 2000, it wasn’t until 2008 that it became authorised by FCA Regulation to issue electronic money.
But, after that first bit of licensing came through, everything else seemed to snowball from there. In 2009 they teamed up with Mastercard, and started offering 24/7 support and an iPhone app in 2010.
The company rebranded in 2013 to become ecoPayz offering a number of different products including ecoAccount, ecoPayz Business Account, ecoCard, and ecoVirtualCard. Today, dozens of casinos use ecoPayz as a payment method.
Like most e-wallets out there, ecoPayz is free, secure, very easy to use, and you don’t need a bank account to sign up. Plus, money transfers are fast – much quicker than traditional methods like banks, debit and credit cards.
ecoPayz is regulated under the UK FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (FRN: 900011) and passported throughout the EU.
It is also a member of the Payment Card Industry compliant (PCI), the Prepaid International Forum (PIF), Data Security Standards compliant (DSS), and a principal member of Mastercard and is licensed to issue branded and unbranded payment cards including contactless products.
As ecoPayz is a global payment solution, it is available in every country in the world.
