The slot game software provider Net Entertainment have appointed Therese Hillman as their new permanent CEO following the departure of Per Eriksson in March 2018.

Hillman has been Chief Financial Officer of NetEnt since January 2017 and took over the role of acting CEO from Eriksson in March.

Eriksson was fired from his role following a disappointing 2017 and “to increase focus on long-term growth for the company.”

“We are pleased to appoint Therese Hillman as new Group CEO,” said NetEnt’s chairman Fredrik Erbing.

“Therese has a clear business focus and is an appreciated leader with great energy. NetEnt is pioneering the online gaming industry and is taking the next step to be at the forefront of business focus and innovation.”

In recent years they have grown into one of the leading providers and created the likes of Starburst, Arabian Nights, and Divine Fortune among many others.

“It is with great enthusiasm, but also humility, that I am taking on the role as Group CEO of NetEnt,” said Hillman.

“I look forward to drive the development of the industry together with our customers and employees and to deliver the best player experiences. This is how we can continue to create value for our customers, shareholders, players and employees.”

Hillman has also worked for Gymgrossisten and Unibet in the past, and graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics with an M.Sc in Accounting and Finance.
