NextGen Gaming Casinos
Next Gen Gaming, or Next Generation Gaming to give them their full name, have been around since 1999 based in their native country of Australia. Now a subsidiary of NYX Interactive, they have released over 600 games (primarily slots) although remain a relative unknown behind the other giants in the industry.
Top-Rated NextGen Gaming Online Casinos
Despite being around since 1999, NextGen Gaming are still relatively small in the industry supplying games to only a select range of online casinos. Despite only being available to play in a limited number of casinos, NextGen Gaming can still count some pretty major brands amongst their customers including Gala Casino and InterCasino.
NextGen Gaming are fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Gibraltar Gaming Commission.
NextGen Gaming Casino Games
Despite releasing well over 600 games, you might be disappointed to learn that NextGen Gaming cannot count many games that you’ll immediately recognize in their portfolio. Perhaps their most famous offering is the Foxin’ Wins slot which also spurned a sequel called Foxin’ Wins Again. The only other games of note are Merlin’s Millions, Doctor Love, and 300 Shields.
For a company that focuses on its slot game offering, you would expect a few more big names but this lack of recognizable games comes from the fact their games tend to lack any real uniqueness about them. The graphics are usually fairly average; they don’t go in big for fancy 3D graphics or franchised media games. This then limits the appeal of their games in the mass market. They rarely make a bad game, but equally, rarely make an outstanding one either.
NextGen Gaming Mobile Casinos
Perhaps one of the things that has seriously limited the appeal of NextGen Gaming titles in the modern world is their initial lethargy when it came to mobile technology. While their competitors were developing games on the latest HTML5 technology, NextGen Gaming were still using Flash which made them difficult to play on mobile or tablet.
To their credit, they have begun making amends for this and now actively use HTML5 to ensure compatibility with the latest devices, but they are still playing catch-up on some of their more tech-savvy rivals.
History of NextGen Gaming
Starting life in Australia in 1999, NextGen Gaming were a small and almost unknown company right up until they were acquired in 2011 by NYX Interactive. With NYX already beginning to make some waves in the industry, suddenly NextGen Gaming were thrust into the limelight.
Undoubtedly the acquisition by NYX seems to have given NextGen Gaming new impetus. Since 2011 they have taken a much more pro-active approach to keeping up with the latest technology and their game offering has improved too, rising their stock.
Over the last few years, they have won several awards including the ‘RNG casino supplier of the year award’ in 2013. That means they are ones to keep an eye on. If they continue their current upward trajectory, they’ll doubtless become a much bigger player in the online casino industry.
