Golden Fish Tank
What do you call a goldfish with no eyes? Goldf sh…. I’ll see myself out.
Where To Play
I really am struggling to understand the name, here. If you look at the logo it intimates that it’s about a fish tank which is golden, but there is no fish tank which is golden throughout the game, on the logo, or elsewhere. However, there’s a twist because the logo shows a fish which is golden, but then wouldn’t that be a goldfish, not a golden fish?! Who knows…
Anyway, to get on to the subject of the actual game, what we’ve got here is a pretty lovely little creation which has awesome, crisp graphics and silky smooth animations and transitions.
And those bloody fishes, oh those bloody fishies. They look soooooo cute, and have so much character and so much personality. I think it’s mostly in their big, bulging eyes which flick around every time you win a line, but also, the blue one’s mouth makes him look like a right cute, little goofball – he’s definitely my favourite of the fishies.
The symbols include four fishies; a blue, a purple, a white, yellow and blue, and a green and yellow. There are also clubs, diamonds, spades, and hearts symbols.
The best symbol to hit is the green and yellow fish which pays out 250/1 should you hit a five in a row.
There is a bonus round consisting of 6 to 10 free spins, but before they start you get to pick three to five shells which contain bonuses like x2 multipliers on all wins, 4 extra spins, one of the fish symbols acting as a wild, and more. The bonus is triggered by hitting three free spins symbols on any of the five reels.
You can’t bet on different lines, but you can bet between 20p and £1000 per spin. The house edge is a decent 3.6%.
There is an autoplay feature which comes with a number of autostop options.
I’m a big fan of this game. Big fan. What I love most about it isn’t the really cool bonus round, the meagre house edge, the great gameplay, the crisp graphics, or the excellent animations.
It’s the bloody fishies! Look at them looking all docile and wide-eyed. They have absolutely no idea what’s going on, the forgetful little lads, but they’re enjoying life anyway and that’s all that matters!
Even Mr. Blue with his big teeth looks like he’s enjoying the ride, and that’s why it’s almost impossible to hate this game, no matter how you’re feeling, those little fishies will put a smile on your face. What a bunch of lovely guys.
